Frequently Asked Questions

  • Sessions are typically 50-minutes in length, and are offered virtually through a secure online platform or by telephone. In-person sessions are also available in midtown Toronto (Yonge and Eglinton).

  • A 50-minute session costs $180. You will be invoiced after each session and can pay via e-transfer or credit card.

    At this time psychotherapy is not covered by OHIP, however it is covered by many private health insurance plans. Upon payment you will be provided with a receipt to submit for insurance and tax purposes. Please verify coverage with your insurance provider.

  • Typically, we begin with weekly sessions. This gives us an opportunity to build our therapeutic relationship, acquire a deeper understanding of your needs and goals, and gain momentum towards addressing them.

    That said, I am open and flexible in my approach and recognize practical and financial constraints may exist. We will discuss what frequency and length of therapy feels right for you and tailor a plan accordingly.

  • Generally, we will begin with a complimentary consultation to discuss what is bringing you to therapy, determine if my approach is a good fit and answer any questions you have about the therapy process.

    If you would like to proceed, we will book an initial session which will focus on information gathering and treatment planning. Following that, we will schedule regular sessions wherein we will work collaboratively in support of your unique therapeutic goals.

  • You do not need a referral to book an appointment. Referrals from health care providers are welcome.
